Campus

  • The HKUST Business School is housed on the picturesque Clearwater Bay Campus, which spreads over 60 hectares. Public transport is conveniently available, with the city center less than 30 minutes away. Students enjoy all the benefits of a full-scale university campus in a relaxing environment.  Student housing and amenities such as banks, medical clinics, a supermarket, a bookstore, and catering outlets are located on campus.  Other facilities include a five-storey library with over 610,000 books, periodicals, microfilms and 100 electronic databases, computer barns, wireless Internet access, a language-learning center, a self-access center with multimedia resources, swimming pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, an athletic track and a soccer pitch.
  • A new campus—the Lee Shau Kee Campus—is under construction with the main buildings in the first phase, including the Lee Shau Kee Business Building and the Institute for Advanced Study, scheduled for completion in 2013. Located atop the HKUST main campus, the Lee Shau Kee Campus will occupy an area of about 10 hectares, representing about 15% of the total campus.  The Business School together with the MBA office will be relocated to this new business building upon its completion so that MBA students can enjoy state of the art teaching facilities and an exclusive area for them to work on group projects or assignments.
  • Surrounding Environment
The HKUST is nearby Hang Hau, home to the Tseung Kwan-O Public Hospital, major supermarkets, an impressive range of restaurants, various malls and a wet market. Just ten minutes from the main campus by bus is Sai Kung, famous for its seafood restaurants, water sports facilities—including one of Hong Kong’s two yacht clubs—and country parks with a wealth of hiking, mountain biking and camping possibilities.
  • Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is centrally administered by the Student Affairs Office. Accommodation in SKCC Hall is available for full-time MBA students. Single-occupancy rooms of approximately 100 sq.ft. with shared facilities cost around HK$3,800 (tentative) per month. All rooms are air-conditioned and include internet access.

Students looking for family accommodation or cooking facilities can rent apartments near the campus in Hang Hau or Sai Kung. Those who enjoy city life can opt for apartments in Central.
